The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) Squad under its anti-polythene bag drive seized 10 quintals of banned bags from Dutta Drycleaners at MG Road on Friday, officials stated.Three sacks of polythene were also seized from woolen shop at Moti Baug, the officials stated.Notably, the State Government had imposed ban on use of poly bags from January 1 this year.
The shop owner was also slapped with a notice for keeping polythene bags and the fine was also collected. The RMC team also appealed to the customers coming in the shop for not using polythene bags. They warned the shop owners that if poly bags are found again in the shop then the shop license would be cancelled.
