The Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) Commissioner Avnish Kumar Sharan personally checked the level of chlorine in the water supply in public taps of Jaundice-affected laxman Nagar in the city on Monday. Sharan made the inspection in the presence of RMC Water Department Executive Engineer AK Malwe, Health In-charge BR Agrawal, Zone-8 Commissioner Nilambar Nayak and Zone Health Officer Tarun Thakur.
He directed officials accompanying him to keep the surroundings of water resources clean and disinfect the water of borewell and wells with bleaching powder. Sharan himself did the tests on water samples taken from the water tanks and public taps of the locality.
