The Chhattisgarh unit of the Congress party on Thursday called the Union Railway budget as disappointing while stating that it does not fulfil the basic requirements of providing safe drinking water and quality food to the passengers.
Former party MlA and senior Congress leader Ramesh Varlayani said in a statement that it seems to be a planned effort by the Central government to move the Railways towards ‘privatization’.
Developing 400 railway stations with the support of Corporate sector on (PPP Model) in the railway budget is one such move, he said.
