Kondagaon district police arrested a Maoist insurgent carrying Rs 5 thousand reward on his head after raiding a house.
The accused was involved in at least half a dozen criminal cases like murder, attempt to murder, destruction in ashram building, arson and others. According to Kondagaon additional Superintendent of police Surjit Kumar Atri, a team of district police jawans of Bayanar police station was conducting search operation where on a tip off it raided a place at Mungwal village and arrested a person who revealed his identity as Hinsaram alias Isharam, son of lakhan Muriya a resident of Schoolpara, Mungwal, thana Bayanar, a member of Bayanar Dalam of Maoists.
According to Atri, the accused was involved in attacking a police party, murder, attempt to murder, destruction in Ashram school building, arson and other violent incidents. Earlier, the police had declared Rs 5 thousand reward on his head, he added.
