Revenue officers to assist students in getting certificates

Published on:

The District administration will provide assistance to the students in getting income, caste and domicile certificate in the districts.

Collector Niranjan Das issued directives to the revenue officers asking them that each Patwari will go to high schools and higher secondary schools in his area to help students in filling forms for these certificates.

The Patwaris can take help of Village Panchayat Secretary, Employment Assistant, Teacher and educated youth of the village. Das said that the students will have to purchase the application form and they need not to affix stamp as issuing income, caste or domicile certificate is an administrative work not a judicial work.

Once the form is filled by the Patwari, the concerned Tehsildar or Nayab Tehsildar of the area will go to the school and issue the certificates to the students. He instructed that the revenue inspectors will have to regularly visit the schools and monitor the process of preparation of certificates.

He clarified that if scholarship of any student is delayed due to non issuance of certificate, the revenue inspector will be accountable for it. For general public other than students, the certificates will be issued from Tehsil offices, revenue camps and district level public grievance disposal camps.

He directed all revenue officers to ensure compliance of government rules and orders. He also instructed for removing encroachments from school premises.
