Collector Alarmelmangai D has directed the officials to ensure the prohibition of mining and transportation of coal by the companies whose contract will expire on March 31.
She was chairing a meeting of district-level Task Force Committee (DlTFC) and representatives of coal mining companies here on Friday. The Collector also directed to remove the Coal Washery from mining lease areas.
Mineral Officer SS Nag gave information on the decisions which were taken during DlTFC meeting conducted on November 30. He also said that vehicles are restricted in the mines of Marine Drive as well as Chakradhar Nagar Road.
