Shortage of drinking water in the soaring temperature here has forced people to take the fight to the streets. The angry residents of ward number 9 at Akhrabhaata blocked the National Highway 49. However, the blockade was removed after the interference of Municipal Council President Shyam Sunder Agarwal who assured increasing the number of tankers for drinking water supply. The residents took on task the Ward Corporator Faaguram Dewangan for not considering the issue despite giving several memorandums.
