The politics over JK lakshmi cement arson does not seem to be dying. The members of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) on Sunday demanded release of the villagers arrested in the JK lakshmi Cement arson case. They alleged that villagers have been jailed on the false charges imposed over them.

State General Secretary of INTUC Bhawani Markam, in an official statement said that after visigting the village and meeting family members of the victims it was observed that the villagers were terrified due to immense pressure by the local administration under the influence of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party Government. Markam further detailed that family members of villagers are under so much pressure that they did not spoke out a single word to prove their innocence in the JK lakshmi arson incident. They alleged that on April 5, after the plant was alleged set on fire police personnel, arrived in the village and forcefully took away 10 women and 26 men from the village and those were later charged under false offences, which they never committed. One of the victim family members Shankar lal Sahu informed INTUC that when the police arrived at his home, they took away his elder brother and cash Rs 12000.
