Relaxation proposal rejected in furnishing property details

Published on:

Chhattisgarh government on Tuesday rejected the proposal of the state employees’ union in which it had demanded relaxation in submitting immovable property details by the non-gazetted employees for their promotion. Now, the government will impart training to the employees for submitting the details of their immovable property.

In a circular issued by the general administration department to the heads of all departments, divisional commissioners and collectors, informed them that according to the Chhattisgarh Civil Services Rules, it is mandatory for each government employee to furnish details of their immovable property in the prescribed proforma as on December 31 every year on or before January 31 next.

As the employees did not take the directives of the government seriously, the state government has communicated its decision that at the time of considering the promotion of government servants, the government servant concerned should produce information about the date of submission of the details of their movable and immovable properties of the past five years before the departmental promotion committee (DPC), and those government servants, who did not submit the details by January 31, the DPC would not consider their name for promotion.

Chhattisgarh State Employees Union had informed the government that the class IV employees were totally ignorant of the proforma prescribed for filling the details of property and it would not be possible for them to fill in the proforma. The union had proposed that the non-gazetted employees should be given relaxation from the clause of submission of property details for promotion.

The Government has made it clear that it is obligatory for each employee to adhere the provisions of the Chhattisgarh Civil Services Rule and therefore, as per rule, it is mandatory for them to submit yearly details of their immovable property in the prescribed

proforma every year up to the prescribed date.

If the employees are ignorant of the details of his property and facing problems in filling the prescribed proforma, they should be imparted

training in this regard.
