The office-bearers of Chhattisgarh Mines Shramik Sangh staged a demonstration in front of the Mines office here on Sunday in support of their three point agenda – regularisation of contract workers, same pay for same work and ensuring other facilities akin to regular employees.
According to the protestors, the contractual works were in service for over 20-25 years doing all the works like a regular employee. However, they were not given their due when it came to payment of salary and other perks and benefits and urged the authorities to regularise them and provide all the benefits given to a regular employee.
