Collector Thakur Ram Singh has appealed all farmers of the district to get registered in the Seva Cooperative Societies for procurement of paddy at support price in the next kharif season. Registration will be done upto September 30.
The examination of applications received for registration of farmers will be done from September 1 to 30 by a Committee comprising Patwari, Samiti Sevak and Agriculture Extension Officer. Farmers will get receipt of application.
The authority to register farmers, who have not sold paddy at any time during the last five years, is with the Tehsildar. The Tehsildar, after examining all records, will register such farmers.
Registration of the farmer who cultivate in Adhiya and Regha will be done only when he brings the letter of the land owner farmer, in which the land owner agrees that he has given the land on Adhiya and Regha.
The photograph of farmer, copy of loan book and the original application certified and signed by the Patwari will be uploaded on the software. After submitting application, the farmer will get registration certificate from the Society after September 30.
After registration, information about the registered farmer will be uploaded on the website of Food Department and pasted on the notice board of the village panchayat concerned, so that people could know about the information given by the particular farmer. On the basis of that, if any farmer has given wrong information, complaints could be made and immediate action could be taken on the complaint.
If any farmer has any objection about registration, he can submit application to the Co-operative society concerned up to October 7, 2014. The Society will resolve the objection and will complete the registration process by October 15 and inform the farmer accordingly.
