As the shortage of staff has come to the fore, the team has given instructions to the hospital management to immediately fill up the vacancies.

It is said that applications were invited for nine posts of doctors and four posts of medical officers. The appointment would be on ad hoc basis. Interview will be held on December 20 at 12 noon at the Telemedicine Hall. Direct appointment of 26 posts of nurses will be done through the Selection Committee and for that applications were invited till December 31.

According to sources, appointments of 77 posts of pharmacist, X-ray technician, lab assistant, technical assistant, steward, data entry operator, assistant Grade-3, dresser, driver, lab attendant, sweeper, ward boy, carpenter and pump attendants would be done directly in the Ambedkar Hospital. The hospital administration has invited applications for these posts till December 31. Ad hoc workers would be given priority in these posts. These appointments would be for two- year probation.

Officers of the hospital said that there had been shortage of doctors and other staff member since long. Because of the election Model Code of Conduct appointments could not be done. During the period the MCI team reached here and found shortage of staff in the hospital. Because of that question was raised on the recognition of 150 MBBS seats of the medical college. This was the reason, appointments are being done, so that along with the college arrangement of the hospital would also be improved.
