Naxals target BSF with low intensity IED blast in Kanker

Published on:

A low intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was triggered off by Naxals in a forested area near Godbinpal village under Antagarh police station limits on Saturday. The rebels exploded the bomb with a purpose to target the anti-Naxal squad of 146th Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) conducting area domination and search operations in the area. However, no trooper injured in the blast.

After the bomb blast, security forces launched a massive search operation and detected another pressure bomb planted in the nearby area. Naxals also fell trees and put up posters against the police forces. BSF squad seized the posters. Traffic movement resumed after the forces cleared the heavy wooden logs from roads.
