M. Ravi, took charge as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bhilai Steel Plant on Monday at Bhilai’s Ispat Bhawan in a simple function in presence of top colleagues.
Armed with B.Tech in Metallurgy, Ravi joined SAIl in March 1983 in Bhilai Steel Plant as Management Trainee (Tech).
After serving as Junior Manager in the Plant’s PPC Dept, he was posted as Assistant Manager in Steel Melting Shop-I in June 1986. He worked in various capacities and positions in SMS-I and rose to the post of Deputy General Manager (SMS-I) in June 2006.
Ravi was elevated as General Manager (SMS-I) in June 2010. In December 2013, he was promoted as Executive Director, VISl, Bhadravati. On March 26, 2016, Ravi was re-designated by SAIl Management as Executive Director (Works) of Bhilai Steel Plant.
He also has a Diploma in Financial Management.
