Yoga guru Baba Ramdev has shown disrespect to eminent personalities of Chhattisgarh by not mentioning about them in the advertisements his Bharat Swabhiman Nyas issued to news papers in the State, the Congress alleged on Tuesday.
Bharat Swabhiman Nyas has issued advertisements in local news papers for the programmes of the Yoga guru at Durg.
It had also put up banners and posters at the meeting venue, Congress spokesperson Sushil Anand Shukla said.
Although the names of prominent personalities of the country were found mentioned, it did not have names of great saints and other prominent personalities of Chhattisgarh such as saint Guru Ghasidas, Swami Atmanand, Pandit Sunderlal Sharma, Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh and Swami Vallabhacharya, he said.
By not mentioning them, Baba Ramdev and his organizations have hurt the sentiments of millions of people. Baba Ramdev has been praising Chief Minister Raman Singh and his Government in different programs.
“It appears that the Bharatiya Janata Party has been bearing the expenditures of such meetings clandestinely. The Congress party strongly condemns such works”, he said.
