'Raman's dream of hat-trick will never be fulfilled'

Chief Minister Raman Singh’s dream that he will score a hat-trick will never be fulfilled as people have voted against him, senior Congress leader and former chief minister Ajit Jogi here said.

People had fed up with his government and the high voting was a reflection of their mood. Singh has been repeating his hat-trick dream only to console himself and his party men, he said. This indicates that he is apprehensive of the defeat. I have no doubt his dream to score hat-trick will be demolished on Dec 8, the day for counting of votes.

Singh will not only ruin his party in Chhattisgarh, its impact also will be reflected in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh where people have already expressed their anger against the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government. This will be seen on the day of counting. In both the states the Congress will achieve victory and form the governments, he said. Elections for 90-seat state assembly were held in Chhattisgarh in two phases on Nov 11 and 19. Madhya Pradesh voted on November 25 to elect 230-member state assembly. The counting of votes in both the state would be held on December 8.
