Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh, given his political shrewdness, has also taken to the path of ‘Dinner Policy’ at least to remove the anger among party functionaries who virtually felt ignored throughout the tenure of his second stint.
It was in this direction that he organised a dinner Sunday night for not only his cabinet colleagues and MlAs but also party functionaries to extend his gratitude to them for helping in making the ‘Vikas Yatra’ a grand success.
Presence of national joint General Secretary (organisation) Saudan Singh, state general secretary (Organisation) Rampratap Singh, state party president Ramsevak Paikra along with almost all other office bearers as well as mandal adhyaksha of Raipur district made it a pre poll convention as the senior party leaders in their address stressed the need for unity and all out efforts for making a hat-trick in Chhattisgarh forging allthe grudges.
Notably, the ruling party has geared up for selection of candidates for the ensuing Assembly poll, dissensions against ministers and sitting MlAs too have come in to open with party workers expressing anguish against their neglect by the Government.
Besides, the party is also feeling the heat of anti-incumbency factor. In this scenario, the Chief Minister taking the route of dinner policy was thebest course to woo the annoyed workers. Earlier on September 11 Dr Singh had given dinner to officials and media persons for expressing his gratitude on the successful completion of Vikas Yatra.
