Raman Singh is grandfather of corruption, claims Bhupesh

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday refuted the corruption charges hurled by his predecessor Raman Singh and told him to inspect various places in the state to see the ground realities of the Congress government’s schemes.

Baghel was commenting on Singh's statement on Ram Van Gaman Path, Godhan and Narva Garva Ghurva Bari schemes.

Talking to reporters, the Chief Minister termed Singh an "international grandfather of corruption" and said that instead of taking commission on freebies like mobiles, shoes and slippers as done by BJP, the Congress government had transferred money directly to the bank accounts of beneficiaries.

“Singh levels allegations only on Twitter. He should come and see how beautification work has been accorded to places related to Ram Van Gaman Path,” Baghel said.

“As Chief Minister he never toured nearby Chandrakhuri where a temple of Mata Kaushalya has been constructed."

Three parliamentary committees recently visited the state to study Godhan scheme in Chhattisgarh and appreciated the efforts in preserving bovine wealth, Baghel said.

Similarly, the Gau Sevak Ayog Chairman of Madhya Pradesh, who was recently in Chhattisgarh to study the Godhan scheme, also appreciated the innovative work, he said.

Regarding Narva scheme, teams of Principal Chief Conservator of Forest of many states came to Chhattisgarh and lauded the efforts on water conservation, he added.
