Former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh on Saturday criticized the government over Chhattisgarh's slip in the Niti Ayog ranking in innovation index.
Chhattisgarh stood on the 16th position out of 17 in the innovation index. Karnataka is at the top of the list and Bihar at the bottom.
Rankings were given on relative performance of supporting innovations. The Innovation index has 36 indicators.
Raman Singh tweed that the state government was to blame for the poor show.
He sarcastically congratulated Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for putting Chhattisgarh on the second position from below on the Niti Ayog list.
Reacting, Congress spokesperson Ghanshyam Raju Tiwari said the BJP and Raman Singh have no issues and are trying to defame the state government. The Congress will give adequate response to both, he added.
