Raman is unparallel in Chhattisgarh, says Prabhat Jha

BJP national vice-president Prabhat Jha on Monday lavished praise on Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh for his pro-poor schemes and termed him ‘unparalleled personality in Chhattisgarh politics’.

“He (Raman Singh) is doing excellent job, he is a popular leader and crowd puller and most importantly he is committed to Antyodaya philosophy,’’ Jha remarked while talking to The Pioneer in Raipur. Jha was on a daylong trip to Chhattisgarh.

On being asked to comment about rising Maoist militancy in the State during the current BJP regime, he observed, “The Raman Singh Government has taken Maoists head-on, he is doing the best to put an end to the menace which he had inherited from the previous regime.’’.

Jha, who had also served as BJP State president in Madhya Pradesh, said, “Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is ‘jan nayak’ (mass leader) and he is working hard for all-round development of the State’’.

He stated that BJP Governments in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are doing exceedingly well and the Chief Ministers in both the States must be appreciated for the kind of leadership they have provided to people of their respective States.

“I am pretty sure that BJP will get roughly 200 seats out of the total 230 Assembly seats in Madhya Pradesh while in Chhattisgarh the tally will not be less than 65 out of the total 90 Assembly seats when both the State go to polls later next year,’’ the sixty-year-old journalist-turned politician opined.
