Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday said that his predecessor and BJP national vice president Raman Singh was facing a similar snub that veteran BJP leaders Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi got from the party’s current leadership.
Talking to media persons after his arrival from election campaign in Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, Baghel said only because of his (Raman’s) ignorance that he was not used as a campaigner in the ongoing Lok Sabha polls by the BJP.
“The BJP in Chhattisgarh is at present leaderless as Raman is now retired,” he added.
Commenting on violence that broke out during BJP national president Amit Shah’s rally in Kolkata, Baghel said” “BJP miscreants executed the violence. The same scene was there in Varanasi where I was campaigning”, he added.
“For the first time we have witnessed a sign of fear on the face of Amit Shah and it indicates that they are certainly going to lose the elections,” Baghel claimed.
Baghel also claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will no longer be able to retain his seat and said that United Progressive Alliance led by Congress will form the government this time.
On Rahul Gandhi’s jibe at Modi by coining “Modilies”, the hashtag trending in tweeter, Baghel termed PM a “liar” and said “right from the beginning he was telling lie and fooling the people of the country. Whether it was his claim of being a tea seller or may it be his caste, all he said were sheer lies,” he said.
