Chief Minister Raman Singh on Monday attended a mass marriage programme held in Baghbahara region of Mahasamund district during the ongoing lok Suraj Abhiyan.
On the occasion, as many as 121 couples tied nuptial knot.
Extending his wishes to the newly wedded couples, Singh said “Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana" being run by the State government is one of my favourite schemes”.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister declared ` 20 lakh for construction of a community building in village Mungaser following the requests made by public representatives and villagers.
Besides, he also dedicated developmental and construction works to the tune of around ` 187 crore. Moreover, Singh distributed cheques worth ` 11.52 crore to around 28000 beneficiaries of different schemes.
