Congress legislative Party leader TS Singhdeo on Thursday wrote to CM Raman Singh, requesting him to ensure treatment of the patient who had sustained critical injuries due to alleged negligence on the part of Dr BR Ambedkar Hospital staff. Singhdeo wrote to Singh following media reports about the patient, Rajkumari, being discharged from AIIMS New Delhi despite need of further treatment. “She had sustained critical injuries due to fault of Ambedkar Hospital staff and thus it is moral responsibility of the State Government to make all arrangements to ensure proper treatment of Rajkumari” said Singhdeo in his letter.
Notably Rajkumari Shrivas had sustained multiple injuries in an accident while undergoing MRI scan at Ambedkar Hospital a couple of months ago. The ward boy had carried the iron stretcher in the MRI chamber which was yanked by the MRI machine hitting Rajkumari who was lying. The patient was then admitted to AIIMS Delhi for treatment. Singhdeo requested CM to issue appropriate instructions.
