Santosh Upadhyay, MlA from Rajim constituency, performed bhumi pujan for deepening of pond near ancient Chhind pond comes under Gariband Municipality.
On the occasion, the MlA said that Chhind pond would be developed as per the standards of Raipur’s ‘Budha Talab’ situated in State capital city besides the beautification and purification of the pond.
Meanwhile, Upadhyay told the masses that Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal had assured to provide funds of Rs 1 crore under the Prime Minister’s Irrigation Scheme for the pond.
During the programme, several local public representatives along with municipality officials were present.
