Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday said Rajim is not only a religious place but it is a confluence point of three rivers, different religions and sects. It is not just a city but a wonderful amalgamation of religious and cultural heritage of the state.

He was addressing the ‘Rajim Bhaktin Mata Jayanti’ celebrations organized at the confluence of Rajim. He took part in the prayers by performing ‘Maha Aarti’ to Goddess Rajim Bhaktin in the premises of Shri Rajiv Lochan Temple.

Appreciating the Sahu community, he laid the foundation stone of a ‘Dharamshala’ to be built at a cost of Rs 50 lakh at the new Rajim Mela site.

He said 54 acres of land has been allocated as per the announcement made last year. The development work is being done at a rapid pace. A permanent facility will be developed here for accommodation of saints and officials, pavilions and local fairs.

Besides, a state level facility will be planned and developed.

The Chief Minister appealed to the citizens to take all necessary precautions to prevent spread of Covid-19 infection.
