While securing 73 points, Raipur zone managed to grab the title of overall champion in the 14th State-level school sports competition here. The final report cards revealed that Durg zone, with 57 points, got second position followed by Jashpur zone with 42 points.
Players from Raipur zone outdid other competitors with their outstanding performance in 14 and 17 years of age group (both in boys and girls category) and 19 years of age group (girls) in lawn Tennis competition, 17 and 19 years of age group (boy) in Carrom and 19 years of age group (both boy and girls category) in ‘Teniquide’ competition to get the coveted title.
Durg zone won football competition in 19-years of boys category while Bastar Zone secured the title in girls category of similar age group. Jashpur zone won the competition of ‘Teniquide’ in both boys and girls category of 17-years of age group. Similarly, Jashpur zone won Carrom competition in 19-years of age group (girls) while Rajnandgaon zone won in 17-years of age group (girls). In badminton, Durg zone won in 14 and 17-years of age group (both boys and girls category).
