Raipur Superintendent of Police OP Pal on Thursday held a meeting of senior police officials here in-view of the next month election and directed them to take strong action against people who are out to create trouble.

Inspectors of all police stations, assistant superintendent of police (Urban) Pankaj Chandra and additional superintendent of police (crime) Sweta Sinha were among the police officers who were present during the meeting which was held at the police control room and lasted for more than two hours. Pal told officials to keep a close watch on the movements of people who have a criminal background.

He also said every year during the festive season several gangs of looters visit the city and execute the crimes and police should bust such gangs and take strong action against them. A group of unknown miscreants attacked a civil line police party in the Pandri police station area on Wednesday night.
