The South East Central Railway (SECR), Raipur division on Thursday observed 61st Railway Week in Raipur.
On the occasion, as many as 274 persons, including 123 workers of Group-C and 28 Group-D workers and 19 groups were awarded by Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Raipur division, Rahul Gautam for their remarkable performance.
Addressing the gathering, Gautam made an appeal from railway personnel and workers to work for ensuring maximum convenience to passengers.
Moreover, the DRM also asked office-bearers of unions and associations to table suggestions for continuous improvement in passenger amenities.
On the occasion, Raipur Division’s Commercial Department was conferred with best ticket checking shield, electrical general shield to BMY general service depot, TRS Shield to RR section, ElS Bhilai and best major depot to diesel loco shed.
Similarly, coaching operation shield was awarded to Raipur division, best communication depot to SSC Tele Raipur, best running room to Raipur and BMY.
On the occasion, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer Mukesh Bahadur Singh, Additional DRM A K Meshram, Chief Workshop Manager (Wagon Repair Shop, Raipur) Jairam Majhi and others were present.
