The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for Rail Corridor signed between Union Ministry of Railways and Chhattisgarh Government for developing a rail route passing through Kawardha, Dongargarh and Khairagarh to Bilaspur has spread joy among the residents of Kawardha.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District Chief Rajkumar Bhatt said, “The upcoming railway route is a ray of hope for the denizens.”
Similarly, Kawardha MlA Ashok Sahu said the region was deprived of railway facilities since a long time and the public have been demanding of a railway route.
The public demand is being fulfilled due to the efforts of Chief Minister Raman Singh and MP Abhishek Singh, he said.
