Raigarh has become Chhattisgarh's first district where all adults have received the first shot of Covid-19 vaccine, it was announced on Saturday.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel congratulated all district administration including health workers and people for the achievement, an official statement said.
As many as 18.42 lakh adults have got the first jab of Coronavirus vaccine across the nine blocks in the district.
Since the start of the vaccination drive, Raigarh was leading in the entire state. The target for first dose of the vaccination was met on Friday.
Also, on June 26, more than 1.43 lakh adults received the vaccine shot on a single day in Chhattisgarh, the statement said.
