Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will visit Chhattisgarh for two days next week. He will interact with all communities, women and youths in Bastar and the northern and central regions, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Saturday.
Speaking at the airport after arriving from New Delhi, Baghel said the visit was long due as Covid-19 had kept away all visitors.
Respecting the sentiments of party workers, leaders and MLAs, Gandhi had accepted the invitation to visit the state, he said.
Baghel said Gandhi will observe the ‘Chhattisgarh Model’ implemented for farmers, tribes, poor, women and youths.
After also seeing the developmental works and what all has been done for the industries, he will showcase it across the country.
There was a sea of Congress workers at the airport to welcome Baghel. They raised slogans and waved party flags and held placards.
The Chief Minister along with MLAs and other leaders arrived on a chartered flight. Baghel made his way to the crowds to accept their greetings and stood on his car to wave to the party supporters.
