On the possibility of formation of the next Government in Chhattisgarh, the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party, the main contenders, have their own claims and convictions. However, the punters have their own analysis according to which they are giving almost double weightage to repeat of the saffron Government again in the State. According to sources, crores of rupees have been put on bet on the fortunes of both the parties.
Notably, after sealing the fate of contenders in electronic voting machines, people from street to offices are engaged in talk on the possibility of formation of the next Government with every body putting his/her own perception amid the claims of top leadership of the Congress as well as the BJP on forming the Government. And ‘Betting World’ is also not lagging behind with talks in air of crores having been put on stake.
According to sources, after the second round poll on November 19, punters in Nagpur and Jaipur Satta Bazaar opened the rates for formation of Government in Chhattisgarh by both the Congress as well as the BJP.
In the parlance of punters, the Congress has been given Re 1.35 rate while BJP got the rate 65 paise only which means the saffron party has almost double chance of returning with flying colours than the Congress which has been out of power for the last 10 years in the State. Sources claimed that the bookies have put the BJP tally of winners at 47-49 while the Congress figure has been put at 41 while 4 seats would go to the Bahujan Samaj Party, Communist Party of India and others. Intelligence sources too have put the BJP expected figure at 47-51 whereas Congress figure is limited to 40.
On the other hand, after the second phase voting, Congress and BJP leadership have reviewed the possibilities of the poll outcome. Congress leadership has expressed its hope of getting 53 seats, BJP is claiming 55 seats.
