The review of the Central Public Grievances and Administrative Reforms’ (CPGRAMS) web-portal has revealed that the redressal of the grievances of applicants is the highest in Chhattisgarh among the 29 States of the country, an official press release informed on Wednesday.

The Department officers said that Chhattisgarh State Government had received 18, 735 applications from Central Public Grievances Redressal and Monitoring System  Web portal. 15,299 complaints (81.66 per cent) have been settled. Chhattisgarh tops the list as of October 2017 among 29 States of the country.

The Department officers said that the administration is prompt in redressal of public complaints. Video-conferencing arrangements are made to listen to the complaints from remote corners of the State. The district head-quarter towns are uplinked to the Naya Raipur -based Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan) where the Public Grievances' Redressal Department officers hear the complaints directly from the masses. Efforts are made to contact the concerned Department officials and settle the issue on the spot itself.

Chief Minister  Raman Singh launched the project at the Raipur District Collectorate on  August 15, 2004. All the 27 districts have been uplinked in the year 2012.

C’garh is the first and only State which had been utilising the Information Technology for the resolving the complaints of the common masses.

The citizens of eight districts contact the capital every day. The applicants contact the higher officers from the District Collectorate. The Mantralaya officials jot down the complaints and direct them to the concerned departments. The applicants come to the District Collectorate on the appointed day and file their complaints. Durg, Bilaspur, Raigarh, Balod, Kondagaon , Rajnandgaon citizens file their complaints on Monday and Raipur district citizens file their grievances on Wednesdays.

Various Departments also review the developmental works at the field-level. Separate days are allocated to various departments. The officers at the Mantralaya review the functioning at the district-level with various officers. All the 146 Janpad  Panchayats have been linked to the video-conferencing facility at the State headquarters.
