People from a cross-section of society, including various social and non-governmental organisations would felicitate Chief Minister Raman Singh in a Nagrik Abhinandan Programme (Public felicitation) here on January 5.
The mega programme would be held in the Indoor stadium, Budhapara in Raipur, the party’s media unit said on Thursday in a Press release.The Raipur unit of the party on Thursday held a meeting at the Ekatm Parisar of the BJP’s State office in this regard. District unit president of the party Ashok Pandey appealed to the workers and office bearers who attended the meeting to ensure more and more people attend the programme.
Chhattisgarh Public Works Department Minister Rajesh Munat in his address said the Nagrik Abhinandan programme is not only a programme of different social organisations, but also it is a programme of the party.It is the work of the party workers to invite people from every house hold irrespective of their caste, creed, communities, and religion, he said.
It was the general citizen who voted the Bharatiya Janata Party Government led by Chief Minister Raman Singh into power for third consecutive terms, and it is the responsibility of the BJP workers to invite them to make the function a success, he said. The meeting was presided by district unit vice-president Shyam Sunder Agrawal. District unit Secretary Gopi Sahu gave vote of thanks. Raipur North legislator Srichand Sundrani also addressed the gathering.
