Preliminary discussions have commenced between the Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) and the Railway Board for design and construction of the Naya Raipur Railway station, official sources informed.
A consultant might also be appointed for facilitating design and construction for the Naya Raipur Railway station, sources informed. The Railway Board has already given its nod for the construction of a Railway station in Naya Raipur.
While the track laying work would be carried out by the Railways, the Station would be built by New Raipur Development Authority (NRDA), it was learnt. The NRDA has already identified the land for the Station and its Board is likely to discuss on the matter on August 7. The Board is also likely to discuss on the construction of the Station.
It was also learnt that NRDA could appoint a consultant for the design and construction of the Naya Raipur Railway Station. After appointment of the consultant, the NRDA would prepare the design for the Station prior to floating of a tender for construction of the Railway Station.
Sources informed that the construction work for the Naya Raipur Railway Station would be carried out in three phases. In the first phase the construction of the Railway platform would be taken up. later, the commercial complex and other construction work would be carried out.
