Revenue Minister Prem Prakash Pandey informed Chhattisgarh Assembly on Friday that during Kharif 2017, a total of 96 tehsils in 21 districts were declared as drought affected. In a written reply to Congress member Paras Nath Rajwade, the Minister informed that as per the Revenue Book, Rs 6800 per hectare for unirrigated land and Rs 13,500 per hectare for irrigated land is given for crop damage and relief is not less than Rs 1000. The process of paying compensation is underway and no definite time period can be given when it will be completed.
