The Superintendent of Police, Raipur, seems to have landed in soup in the alleged scuffle with minor children in his office. The Chairman of Chhattisgarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights, Yashwant Jain has written a letter to the Director General of Police (DGP) in this connection.
Yashwant Jain talking with The Pioneer over phone informed that the commission has taken the cognizance of the matter. “I have written a letter to the Director General of Police Ramniwas for conducting enquiry into the case by some senior police official,” Jain said.
In the letter Yashwant Jain demanded to find out if any child right was violated in the case or not and also to find out who was faulty in the case. “It is expected that grownups have to maintain their behaviour with children as they (children) are not mature enough to understand how they should react in different circumstances. So could this happening be averted,” Yashwant Jain mentioned in the letter.
When questioned that whether the commission was going to investigate the matter, the Chairman said the matter is in the court so the commission would not be able to probe it. “However we have talked with the family members of the children and asked to present their part in court. If the court finds that something excesses have been heaped on the minor then court could take the matter into cognizance,” Yashwant Jain asserted.
Notably the case came to light few days back when a minor boy allegedly had some scuffle with SP OP Pal in his office over some issue. later on he was arrested.
