Janpad Panchayat president Sushila Bedram Manhare has appealed all the farmers to plant saplings for conservation of environment and maintaining greenery.
President Manhare, Vice President Ashwani Verma and Chairman Manorama Santosh Verma announced prizes of ` 21,000, `11,000 and `5,000 for students of Government schools in the block, who would plant saplings of fruit-bearing trees in the school compound and take care of them.
Sushila Bedram Manhare said that saplings of fruit-bearing trees should be planted in such government school compounds only, which have boundary walls.
The responsibility of taking care of these trees would be entrusted on the students of the schools.
