After exposing the Indira Priyadarshini Bank alleged pay-off to Chief Minister and his four Cabinet colleagues, Congress has decided to step up fight against the ruling party both on the street as well as in court of law. The party has decided to file a petition in the High Court on the basis of the alleged CD, urging the court to make all the five Ministers co-accused in the bank scam.
After the release of Indira Priyadarshini Bank’s manager Umesh Shinha’s Narco test CD on Saturday, State politics witnessed a flurry of activities on both sides. While the Government side,
after convening press conference quickly, rejected the content of the CD and instead put the blame on the Opposition of playing CD politics in the run-up to the Assembly polls due later this year, the Congress increased attacks on the Government and decided to approach the High Court after discussing the issue with senior leaders, including CGPCC acting president Charandas Mahant and AICC General Secretary and Chhattisgarh in-charge BK Hariprasada.
According to State Congress sources, the party will go to the High Court in a day or two and urged the court to make the Chief Minister and his four cabinet colleagues co-accused in the case.
