The Prime Ministry Trophy adjudicators’ team has made detailed review of blast furnace No 7, converter shop, plate mill, rail and structural mill.
The team comprised of eminent personalities from iron and steel industry, metallurgy and concerned education and industrial sector Dr BN Singh, KP Singh, Dr T Mukherjee, Prof PK Sen, Dr CP Chandrashekhar, Prof SK Singh, Jugal Kishore Tandon, OP Bhutani and SK Bhatnagar. Along with the team KP Prashant and OP Verma of Prime Minister Trophy secretariat also reached Bhilai.
Chief executive officer of BSP S Chandrashekharan said that with the selection of excellent steel plant and such other process for the Prime Minister Trophy, we get opportunity for introspection and continuous improvement in execution. The team, while praising the achievements of Bhilai, held discussion with the management team of Bhilai Steel Plant. Then the team reviewed coke ovens and coal chemical department, and the 2nd cinder machine manufacturing in cindering plant-3.
On the occasion, the team also perused the exhibition based on the corporate social responsibility and quality circle of BSP. They have also discussed with the beneficiaries of corporate social responsibility works. A presentation on marketing and consumer satisfaction process was made at the Bhilai management development centre.
