BJP State president Vishnudev Sai has said that like in the Assembly polls, seeing the danger of defeat looming ahead in all the 11 lok Sabha constituencies in Chhattisgarh, State Congress president Bhupesh Baghel has been issuing wrong statements to misguide the people.
Sai said that the BJP manifesto has been getting wholesome praise. In the manifesto, agriculture has been considered as the engine of economic development of the country. The BJP, by giving top priority to agriculture, has promised increase in the income of farmers and development in the rural areas. The manifesto has made arrangements for special fund to control price rise, he added.
The BJP has plan for investment in agriculture and rural development, which would enhance benefits in the agriculture sector. “The BJP is concerned over the benefits of farmers and making agriculture a profitable business. It is a well-wisher of farmers,” he said.
The State government has taken care of giving free power for electric pump for farmers, agricultural loan at zero per cent interest rate, high quality fertilizer and seeds. By giving Rs 300 per quintal bonus on paddy, the government of Chief Minister Raman Singh has done the work for bringing smile on the face of farmers.
Sai said Baghel and leader of the Opposition TS Singh Deo, who are babbling for the farmers, forgot that they had been rejecting the paddy of the farmers after it got soaked in water. However, the farmers of the State know it better that the BJP government has purchased all the paddy and made its payment along with bonus with total transparency.
