National Joint In-charge of BJP’s membership campaign Arun Singh said that the enormous response received by the party’s membership campaign has confirmed that BJP will become the biggest party of the world.
Addressing a meeting to review the membership campaign in the State in a meeting held here at the party’s Raipur division headquarters ‘ Ekatm Parisar’ on Thursday, Singh said that Chhattisgarh has crossed 14 lakh mark in the membership but it needs to achieve a target of 50 lakh members. A good strategy should be prepared to achieve the target.
He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has suggested to make at least 100 primary members at each booth. BJP has 295 divisions in the State and if 200 members are added daily, the party will add about 60,000 members per day. The party should work on such plans to achieve the target, advised Singh.
BJP State President Dharamlal Kaushik said that the party supported candidates have emerged victorious in the Panchayat elections and the party expects that BJP will capture the posts of Chairman of Janpad Panchayats and Zila Panchayats.
Kaushik said that BJP is behind the political party of China in membership and with efforts of all including the panchs, sarpanchs, Chief Minister and the Prime Minister, BJP will become the political party with maximum members by March 31.
Chief Minister Raman Singh said that the membership drive will gain momentum once the Panchayat polls are over. Presently the party is focusing on victory of maximum BJP supported candidates in Panchayat polls.
After February 18, all the district presidents, MlAs, MPs, Ministers and even I will focus on membership drive to attain the target of 50 lakh members, said Singh. BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) Saudan Singh said that 200 members can be easily made at each booth in rural areas and 300 members at each booth in urban areas.
He said that to become active member of the party, a worker will have to bring at least 100 primary members. These active members will be offered designations from division to state level. “The worker who adds maximum members will get opportunity to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi,’ said Singh.
