The district administration has expedited preparations for the Budha Mahadev Temple padayatra from on August 3 — the first Monday of the Shrawan month.
In a meeting with members of Bhoramdeo Working Committee, social organisations, media and peoples’ representatives, collector P Dayanand sought suggestions for making a success of the padayatra.
He directed to plant saplings of Bilva on the way from Kawardha to Bhoramdeo.
The collector also asked to put up posters and flexes for the protection of environment.
Officials present in the meeting suggested to invite the Chief Minister, MPs, MlAs and other peoples’ representatives for the padayatra.
The collector issued directives to the officers concerned to make necessary arrangements for parking, medical facilities, drinking water etc for the padayatra.
He also directed for making the arrangements near Budhamandir, Bhoramdeo temple, Samnapur, Kodar and various other locations.
District Panchayat President Santosh Patel, District Panchayat CEO Bipin Manjhi and other district-level officials were present in the meeting.
