The Surajpur district administration in Chhattisgarh on Wednesday started the preparations to store and distribute Covid vaccine.
District Collector Ranveer Sharma convened a meeting of the District Task Force (Vaccine) and held detailed discussion about the preparations required for handling vaccine, a press release said.
The Collector asked the team to inspect all cold points in the district where Covid vaccines will be stored and keep ready for use.
The Collector also directed officials to send a proposal to the state government for opening new cold chains in the district.
He instructed the district Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) Dr R.K. Singh to complete all preparations of Covid vaccine storage and every week hold meetings for reviewing the preparations.
