The district administration has commenced preparations for the Republic Day function to be held at Digvijay Stadium on January 26. Collector Ashok Agarwal in a meeting asked departmental officials to prepare a tableau for display during republic day celebrations.
He asked the DFO to arrange bamboos to be used for installing barricades at the venue. The Collector also directed officials of Education and Tribal Development Department to make preparations for the cultural programmes.
It was informed in the meeting that the national flag would be hoisted at 9 am and at 8 am in Collectorate. SP Dr Sanjeev Shukla said the rehearsal of parade would be done on January 10 while the final practice would be on January 24.
