A three-day carnival would be held at the world famous tourism spot of Mainpat from February 13 to 15 this year. The festival would comprise local cultural programmes and sporting events. Arrangements for providing bus facility from district headquarters to Mainpat would be made for tourists. Addressing the officials in a meeting held here, District Collector Ritu Sen said that on the first day of the event, state-level as well as local level cultural programme would be held.
The key highlights of the second day of the festival carnival would comprise cultural programmes representing the culture of different states of the country. On the concluding day of the event, an international level programme would be organised. Besides these programme, adventurous sports would be organised. During the meeting, Surguja Superintendent of Police Sundarraj P informed that elaborate security arrangements would be made during the carnival. The students participating in cultural programme would also be provided adequate security .
