Rescuers who have been working non-stop since Friday are now just one meter away from a  11-year-old who fell into an          abandoned borewell in Chhattisgarh's                        Janjgir-Champ district.

The rescuers are still hoping to reach out to Rahul and bring him out safety.

According to                   information gathered by Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Janjgir-Champa Collector Jitendra Shukla and Superintendent of Police Vijay Agrawal have readied a ‘Green Corridor’ to rush the boy to a hopsital in Bilaspur, an official communication said.

An oxygen mask and a stretcher as well as an          ambulance are in readiness at the site.

Since Sunday night, while drilling the tunnel, the rescuers were faced with hard rocks. It was decided to use drill machines to break the rocks by making holes. Smaller drillers were pressed into service which continued till late evening.

The drilling was causing heavy dust. Ventilators and smoke filters were being used to control the dust.

The activities of Rahul were being monitored through cameras, officials said.

The boy has been trapped in the borewell since Friday in Pihrid village of Malkharoda block of           Janjgir-Champa district.
