Newly elected Raipur City Mayor Pramod Dubey was administered oath of office and secrecy by District Collector Thakur Ram Singh in a simple ceremony held in Gandhi Maidan here on Wednesday.
All of the 70 newly elected corporators were also administered oath by the District Collector in the ceremony which was attended by senior party leaders from both Congress and BJP. Former Chief Minister Ajit Jogi was among the senior Congress party leaders who attended the ceremony.
Also present were— PWD Minister Rajesh Munat, Raipur North (MlA) Srichand Sundarani and BJP leader and former RMC Speaker Sanjay Srivastava led the BJP corporators to oath taking ceremony in Gandhi Maidan from the party’s divisional headquarters ‘Ekatm Parisar’ in the city.
