Police on Thursday recovered a powerful Improvised Explosive Device (IED) allegedly planted by Maoists in Kanker district of insurgency ridden Bastar region of Chhattisgarh.
A joint team of the District Force and Border Security Force was patrolling when it spotted a connection of the IED beneath the dirt track near a culvert on Kanker's Badgaon-Himmatwahi, a police official said.
