The Chhattisgarh State Electricity Regulatory Commission may announce a hike in power tariff for a select category of commercial and industrial consumers between June 15 to 20 in the State.
The Commission had already held a public hearing on the hike in power tariff being proposed , official sources here informed.
On the other hand, the State Government had already provided grant of an estimated `465 crore to the power generation companies to tide over their losses. The grant had especially come as a relief to the domestic consumers and farmers.
Sources said that the Government had been making efforts to lighten the power tariff burden on the commercial establishments and the industrial units struggling with a downturn in the economy.
